FOOD SECURITY & LIVELIHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Food security is the foundation of a sustainable livelihood. In the fields of Bangladesh, the promise of a better future is sown with every seed, and the harvest secures not only our plates but our dreams.

Many ultra-poor families in Bangladesh suffer from a lack of knowledge about livelihood opportunities and food security. Limited education and awareness hinder their ability to improve their economic conditions and ensure a stable food supply, perpetuating the cycle of poverty. Efforts are needed to provide education and resources to empower these families to break free from this cycle.

SMKK is a dedicated organization addressing critical food security issues. They work to enhance access to affordable, nutritious foods, improve livelihoods for vulnerable populations, and implement initiatives like the School Feeding Project. Their focus on food-based nutrition training, household food security, and ensuring the physical availability of food is aimed at creating sustainable, healthy food systems while fostering an enabling environment for these efforts.
